The Privatised Prison Industry in the US has made a deal with 48 states. They will run the prisons and the states guarantee prisons full to 90% capacity.

Not only that since all these people are in jail and the jailers want to make a profit they are hiring these people out against slave wages and even Apple is coming back to the US to make use of this handy arrangement.
