Canterbury
will be the California of tomorrow as the snow pack on the Alps
disappears due to abrupt climate change.
Along
with the greed of people mining the Ashley (and other rivers) for its
water as the drought worsens, Canterbury is headed for a dire future.
I
grew up on this river where we used to swim, and where fish were once
plentiful. I do not recall a time when salmon had to be salvaged from
the river.
