New Zealand plunged into winter

In New Zealand we have been plunged straight into winter from higher-than-normal temperatures. Yesterday, I went from being too hot in bed, to freezing in the middle of the night, to sweltering in the early hours. 

Climate chaos and rapid climate change, it's called.
